Desembercup 2014, Fjellhamarhallen

The second tournament of the Ultimate Series 2014/15 was played on December 6, in Oslo. OSI had two teams playing, one consisting purely of OSI-players while the other team was put together by players from both OSI and Ekeberg. In total eight teams participated in the tournament, travelling from various places in Norway to be a part of the game. The local teams playing were Pancake 1, Pancake 2, OSI and OSI/Ekeberg, while the far-away teams coming to play were HiT (Telemark), BSI (Bergen), Trondheim Frisbee klubb and a non-club/pick-up team with Hønefoss and Ås players.

The OSI teams played two very balanced and nerve-racking games against each other. In the first game OSI came out winning (9-8), while OSI/Ekeberg won the last and more important game of the tournament, where the two teams played for the fifth and sixth places. OSI/Ekeberg won 11-9 and thus received fifth place. The winner of the tournament were TFK who demonstrated a well-established and good play throughout all their games.

All players contributed to a good atmosphere and moral on the match-day, enjoying the fact that one could eat waffles between the games and supporting the other teams when not playing. The day was crowned with pizza at Dolly Dimple’s and a good and loud party at some of the local players’s apartment, filled with laughter, music and in the end – waffles again.

All tied teams have played an equal number of US events. TFK has won 3

more games than Pancake to date (9-6), therefore TFK is in 1st place.

BSI has won 2 more games than OSI to date (7-5), therefore BSI is in

3rd place.
