2nd place at Trøndisk

OSI at Trøndisk 2014:

Trøndisk, the first tournament of the Ultimate Series 2014/15, was arranged in Dragvoll Idrettshallen in Trondheim the 01.11.2014, with seven teams participating: Trondheim Frisbee Klubb (TFK), NTNUI (Trondheim), BSI (Bergen), Pancake Circle Limited (PCL, Lørenskog), HIT Ultimate (Bø i Telemark), Non-club-team and OSI.

OSI played against PCL and NTNUI at the group stages. After two wins OSI qualified for the semifinal against BSI in the early afternoon. The match against BSI started with Bergen taking a 3-2 lead. In the end OSI got back into the game and managed to proceed to the final.

In the final we met PCL for the second time. PCL had achieved a tight 12-10 victory after an exciting match against TFK in the other semifinal. The final was played to 15 points without time-cap. Right from the start, PCL played a strong defense while scoring safely on offense. By this they took a 4-0 lead. We tried different offense-set ups, but did not get back to draw with the team, that in the end -after 53 minutes- took their fifth straight series-tournament-win.

HIT won the spirit price.

In the evening players from all teams gathered for the party at Singsaker Studenthjem.

Congratulations to PCL and thanks to the Trondheim-players for the organisation of the tournament. Especially the waffle-machine on the sideline was appreciated and excessively used to restore energy between the games.
